"For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be." – Luke 12:34

Giving is an expression of our discipleship. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are called to a spirit of generosity. As grateful stewards, we realize that all we are and all we have is gift. And with blessings comes responsibility. We share a common belief that we should return to the Lord a generous portion of what God has given to us.

Annual Covenant Sunday
In the fall of each year, every household is asked to make a financial commitment to Holy Family Church and to be faithful to that covenant throughout the year. Your regular weekly/monthly offering supports the parish operating budget; helps sustain our liturgical, educational, and outreach ministries; and enables us to plan wisely for the future.

Offering Envelopes
Registered parishioners receive a packet of offering envelopes each month along with a communication about a parish ministry, program or activity. The use of offering envelopes is a "win - win" situation. It enables our staff to more effectively manage parish financial resources and offers you the benefit of an accurate record of your annual giving. For your convenience, you may also arrange for automatic, electronic giving.

Automatic Giving
To help you plan your giving, we offer two convenient means of automatic giving:

  • Instruct your bank to send your regular offering check to Holy Family every month. (No fee charged to Holy Family Church.)
  • Sign up for Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) ($2.50 fee per transaction charged to Holy Family). To arrange for EFT, complete the Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) Authorization FormElectronic Fund Transfer (EFT) Authorization Form.

Benefits for You and Holy Family

  • An opportunity to plan your giving in a thoughtful manner and to make your gift from the "first fruits" of your financial resources
  • No more weekly checks to write
  • Your gift is received even if you are not present at Sunday Eucharist
  • You decide whether your gift is made on the 1st or the 20th of the month
  • You may participate in the Preparation of the Gifts at Eucharist by placing your electronic giving coupon (mailed to you monthly) in the collection basket
  • Holy Family benefits from your regular, consistent giving

Holy Family Church Endowment Fund
Our remarkable Renaissance-Baroque church was dedicated in 1928. We are entrusted with preserving and passing on this gift. Over the years, we have maintained the sacred antiquity of the building through extensive interior renewal, careful never to offend its original beauty. To guarantee that our church building remains an enduring tradition for future generations, we have established the Holy Family Church Endowment Fund. Through generous donations from the people and friends of Holy Family, we will be able to generate funding to care for and safeguard our landmark building.

Planned Giving
There are many opportunities to share your financial resources with Holy Family while securing your own financial future as well. Giving to the future of our parish assures that the vitality of Holy Family, which means so much to us today, will continue long into the twenty-first century. For guidance about how to include Holy Family in your financial and estate planning, advice from your financial and legal advisors is essential. The leadership of Holy Family welcomes your inquiry and will be happy to assist you in creating a giving plan according to your wishes.

Should you wish to include Holy Family Church in your estate planning, please note that our correct legal title is:
"The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles, A Corporation Sole for the benefit of Holy Family Church, South Pasadena."
