Buildings and Maintenance Committee
The Buildings and Maintenance Committee is a volunteer group of
parishioners who advise the Parish Administrator on the upkeep and
maintenance of parish buildings and grounds. Meeting monthly and
representing a variety of trades, such as plumbing, electrical
engineering, construction, woodworking, etc., they lend their expertise
to the Parish Administrator in order to keep all parish buildings and
grounds looking their best. Any new construction is also reviewed and
monitored by the Buildings and Maintenance Committee.
Garden Ministry
The Garden Ministry is the work of a volunteer group of parishioners
who have formed a committee to beautify Holy Family's gardens. The
committee meets regularly with the landscape service and gardeners to
plan seasonal color, maintenance of the lawns, and proper trimming of
our trees. The Garden Ministry reports to the Parish Administrator.
Together they develop and monitor the annual budget for all phases of
garden care and maintenance.
Safeguard the Children
The Safeguard the Children Program has as its mission to create a safe
environment for children and youth in the parish community. To realize
this, a Safeguard the Children Committee consisting of both staff and
volunteer parishioners has been formed to provide child sexual abuse
prevention education, establish safety procedures, and evaluate the
parish site. The committee also works to promote healing and
reconciliation with victims and survivors of sexual abuse of minors and
to guarantee an effective response to allegations of sexual abuse of
minors. (See Safeguard the Children.)
Bulletin Angels
Bulletin Angels is a volunteer group of parishioners who meet weekly to
collate and stuff bulletin inserts. The bulletin itself is published by
J.S. Paluch Company, Inc. and delivered in boxes to the Holy Family
Pastoral Center, usually early Friday morning. The Bulletin Angels
unbox the bulletins, collate the weekly inserts (often three or four),
and stuff them into the bulletin. They then re-box the bulletins and
prepare them for delivery to the church. The spirit and dedication of
this group of volunteers is nothing less than angelic. If you would like to be part of this dedicated group of volunteers, contact Trish Sarbaum at (626) 403-6108,
