Purpose of Position
To share the Catholic faith with Adult Confirmation candidates.

Responsibilities
Prepare interesting and insightful two-hour learning sessions during the ten-week Adult Confirmation process.

Skills Needed
Completion of the Basis Faith Formation course offered by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Office of Religious Education.

Amount of Time Required
During the ten-week Adult Confirmation process, two hours of preparation for each two-hour session taught. Sessions are once a week, in the evening.

When Ministry is Performed
The ten-week process occurs in the winter months. The Confirmation celebration takes place annually, during the Easter season, and is arranged in accordance with the Bishop’s calendar.

Length of Commitment
Annual commitment, for approximately three months.

Training
Training to become a certified catechist is offered by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Office Religious Education .
