Purpose of Position
Teach “Small Team” classes and (depending on availability) attend retreats and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Live faith in word and action
• Help prepare and plan lessons
• Give talks on faith
• Attend training
• Attend "Virtus: Protecting God’s Children" awareness session
• Must be fingerprinted with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles

Skills

• Ability to work well with teens
• Be member of a team
• Basic knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Faith
• Be able to articulate the Catholic Faith
• Public speaking skills

Commitment

• Minimum 1 year
• Class times depend on schedule of catechist
• Minimum 24-hour teaching time throughout the year
• Preparation time
• Monthly catechist meeting
