Purpose of Position
To proclaim the Word of God during the liturgy.

Responsibilities

• Consult the schedule and know when you are assigned.
• Find a replacement of you are unable to serve on the assigned day.
• Arrive 15 minutes before Mass to gather in the sacristy for prayer.
• Attend one coaching session with other lectors and the lector coach per month in preparation for your service.

When Ministry is Performed
The goal of this ministry is that each lector serves once a month. Every attempt is made to schedule at least two, and ideally three, lectors per Mass. High youth serve at the Sunday, 5:30 p.m. Mass.

What to Wear
Dress in a manner that is tasteful, dignified, and respectful of your liturgical role.

Length of Commitment
Indefinite

Training
Training is provided at the monthly coaching sessions with other lectors and lector coach Steve Domier.
