Purpose of Position
To share faith, examine scripture and facilitate discussion among the participants in weekly Holy Family Bible Study.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assign questions to each member.
  • Read and study the assigned reading and reflect on the questions.
  • Lead the group as each member contributes to sharing reflections on the questions.

 

Skills Needed

  • Willingness to share faith
  • Comfortable praying with others
  • Interest in acquiring and improving facilitator skills

 

Amount of Time Required
A good group facilitator dedicates about three hours per week to preparing for and facilitating a session.

 

When Ministry is Performed
Bible Study sessions are generally held on Wednesday evenings, 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

 

Length of Commitment
Each Bible Study series is unique. Some are three weeks long, while others are up to 14 weeks. The facilitator commits to the length of one series.

 

Training
Facilitator training is offered, as needed, by Frank Ponnet, Director of Adult Education and Formation.
