Mission Statement
The Infant Care Outreach Program serves low-income mothers/families in need in our catchment area of South Pasadena, Alhambra and El Sereno; provides high-priced items such as diapers, formula and baby wipes on a monthly basis after a home assessment; and nurtures both mother/family and their infant or toddler.

About the Infant Care Outreach Program
Holy Family established a pilot program in fall 2001 after assessing the needs of many Giving Bank clients. Its initial goals were to provide infant care supplies such as diapers and wipes and relevant health care information to needy mothers in our geographical community.

The program primarily serves Giving Bank clients. Others are referred by community agencies and churches as well as by word of mouth from other mothers in the program. Currently, the program serves 15 mothers and 20 children, at an average cost per child of $85 to $120; 14 mothers and 20 children are on the waiting list.

The ministry is supported by grants, monetary donations and in-kind donations by parishioners, the Christ Child Society, and the Holy Family Toddler Co-op.

This Holy Family outreach ministry is unique in that it is the only program in the San Gabriel Valley that offers items on a monthly basis and personalized services for each family. Crisis counseling and referrals are also available.
