"Liturgy Matters" was created by Gail Fabbro, Holy Family's first liturgist. An accomplished writer, Gail set out to share with the people in the pew just what is going on during our eucharistic liturgies. These short weekly pieces have been featured in our Sunday Bulletin for more than a decade and can now be found on our website as well.

Over the years, the column has discussed liturgical functions and traditions and has occasionally featured a particular theme. For example, during 2003, the 75th anniversary of our church building, the column told the story of our beautiful worship space and featured interesting facts about its design and the origin and significance of the altars, statuary, and art. During 2007-2008, "Liturgy Matters" will focus on evangelization, as Holy Family prepares for the second year of Disciples in Mission, our Lenten faith-sharing experience.
