Mission Statement

of faith, that they may be properly prepared to receive the sacrament of confirmation
and live as disciples of Christ.

The Confirmation Preparation Process
The confirmation journey is a 2-year preparation process which consists of:
-
Once a month meetings on Sundays from 3:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. (includes
5:30 pm Mass)
-
Candidates are also required to take 2 “Small Team” courses
per confirmation year. These courses
will consist of three 1 1/2 hour classes and will also include an
additional 3-hour session.
-
Each candidate is required to attend 1 retreat per confirmation year.

We will be providing various service hour opportunities
throughout the year for the candidates. Ministering to others is an essential component of our faith. For this reason, it is an expectation that
the candidate will commit to ongoing service. At least every couple of months, the candidates should engage in
volunteer work. This service should
primarily be done through Holy Family. Any service done outside the parish is acceptable if done for an
established organization. Please make
sure that you are involved with at least one ministry at Holy Family throughout
the year. Opportunities include, but are not limited to: lectors, ushers, choir, altar servers, video ministry, Sunday Preschool ministry, Religious Education, junior high ministry, Youth Ministry core team, Giving Bank and Union Station.
- Parents must volunteer for the program at least once during
the year. Opportunities may include: chaperone services, transportation, assistance in programs, providing food,
etc.

The fee for the year is $250. There is an additional $20 fee after the September 19 registration deadline. Please make checks payable to Holy Family Confirmation. To set up a payment plan or apply for a scholarship, please contact Thelma Hernandez at 626-403-6148.
