CALLING ALL PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, GODPARENTS, AND CARETAKERS OF CHILDREN!
Have you ever been stumped by a question from your toddler about God? Have you struggled to get your teen to want to come to Mass? Have you wondered if doing community service as a family might increase the love, understanding and faithfulness of your family? Are you interested in taking parent education classes within the context of your Catholic faith and with the convenience of being in your own parish? Would you like to participate in a family prayer retreat or family faith camp over the summer?
Holy Family Church is a vibrant parish and is continually supporting opportunities to help parishioners grow in faith and spirituality. Most recently, a group of parishioners has come together to create a Family Spirituality Ministry (FSM) to foster experiences that allow families, particularly with children under 18, to grow in spirituality together. FSM would build upon the foundation created by the Toddler Co-Op, Sunday PreSchool, Religious Education, Holy Family School, the Edge program, Youth Ministry and the Confirmation program.
The focus of the FSM would be three main goals:
1. providing family-centered worship opportunities;
2. delivering parent education programs; and
3. providing parent-child programming that would help to nurture family spiritual development.
In its fledging stage, FSM now needs YOU! We need your input and ideas about areas and topics that would best support your family’s spiritual growth.
We look forward to hearing your ideas and creating some exciting, empowering and faith-filled opportunities to, as families, come closer to God! Thank you!
