Giving to Holy Family

For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.” – Luke 12:34
Giving is an expression of our discipleship. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are called to a spirit of generosity. As grateful stewards, we realize that all we are and all we have is gift. And with blessings comes responsibility. We share a common belief that we should return to the Lord a generous portion of what God has given to us.

Discipleship Sunday
In the fall of each year, every household is asked to make a financial commitment to Holy Family Church and to be faithful to that covenant throughout the year. Your regular weekly/monthly offering supports the parish operating budget; helps sustain our liturgical, educational, and outreach ministries; and enables us to plan wisely for the future.

Benefits of Automatic and Online Giving:

  • Easy and convenient, no envelopes
  • No checks to write or lose
  • Regular, consistent giving
  • Safe, secure and confidential
  • No charge to donor for EFT and Online Giving

Matching Gift and Volunteer Incentive Programs
Many organizations have matching gift or volunteer incentive programs for their employees. For instance, the volunteer incentive program at Verizon recognizes employees’ contributions of time and talent to nonprofit organizations. Employees are eligible to apply for a grant on behalf of the qualified organization where they volunteered 50 hours or more during the year.

We encourage you to check with your employer today to see if your contributions to Holy Family Church or School are eligible for a matching gift or if there is a volunteer incentive program.

Material Donations
Throughout the year, Holy Family Church and School sponsor special drives for specific ministries, requesting items such as food, clothing, toiletries, etc., and welcomes your regular donations Monday through Fridays. We greatly appreciate these material donations, which are quickly distributed to needy individuals and families, and thank you for your generosity. For more information, please contact Carrie-Ann Lue Sue, Director of Community Services at (626) 403-6141 or at

Please note that IRS regulations prevent qualified organizations who receive non-monetary donations from making a monetary valuation of the items. We will gladly provide you with a signed and dated receipt or thank you letter, but we are legally prevented from stating a value on the documents.

God has blessed each of us with gifts and talents to make a unique contribution to the Church. Each of us has the privilege of getting involved and participating, rather than watching from the sidelines. Consider the gift of time to Holy Family, whether as a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Choir or a volunteer at the Giving Bank. Please contact Mary Schimmoller, Volunteer Coordinator at (626) 403-6113 or at, to find out ways you can make a difference!
