Ignatian Spirituality is rooted in the conviction that God is active, personal and present to us in every person, every place and every experience. It is spirituality for everyday life.
The Ignatian Spiritual Ministry exists to share the practice of Ignatian Spirituality in a warm and welcoming manner and to encourage the deepening of relationship with the Holy Trinity.
Ignatian Spirituality is based on the practice of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits (Friends of Jesus). Even before he founded the Society of Jesus, Ignatius of Loyola had come to the deep conviction that God desires a personal relationship with all people –who in turn could seek to find God in the ordinary substance of their lives. Through his famous manual of prayer, the Spiritual Exercises, St. Ignatius offers a program of prayer and reflection through which retreatants are invited to grow in freedom so as to know the love of God more deeply.
We are excited and blessed to be a part of Holy Family Church in encouraging this deeper relationship with the Father, Son and Spirit through small prayer groups, guided meditations and retreat series in a way that creates the space for each individual to respond according to their own experience.
As St. Ignatius believed, the goal of the spiritual life is to “choose what better leads to God’s deepening life in me.” We hope you will join us in prayer, spirituality and the deepening of God in each of us.
