Join artist, Laura Lasworth, as she presents a retrospective of the inner life, mapping a particular cosmology of the soul.

The paintings & drawings in this presentation represent a patchwork retrospective glance of the Artist’s work. The work, in total, attempts to record a journey through various regions of the inner life, mapping a particular cosmology of the soul. This from a journey through a gray region where faith, or faulty intuition at best, are the only tools of navigation – onto the luminous, eschatological horizon.
Laura Lasworth received her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and MFA from California Institute of the Arts. Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows around the country and has been featured in such publications as Art in America, Artforum, the LA Times, and IMAGE Journal. She currently lives in Seattle, WA.
Patty Wickman is an artist who has exhibited nationally and internationally, and a professor in UCLA’s Department of Art. Her most recent exhibition, “All is Leaf” at Lora Schlesinger Gallery, Santa Monica, was reviewed by Leah Ollman in the LA Times.
