Creative Arts & Needle Arts for Bereavement
Creative Arts for Bereavement meets on Thursdays for six weeks during January and February via Zoom from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: bring a project you have been meaning to finish, something that has been on the shelve for a while, that once has held joy. However, with the loss of loved on that joy seems to have slipped away, the feeling of sorrow and sadness is too overwhelming to pick up that project.
Join us with your favorite beverage, a comfortable seat, and your project, knowing that we gather with those who share faith in God, in a safe environment.
During this time of solitude and separation, the time spent together is so important, since we are unable to meet in person, Holy Family Bereavement Ministry extends an invitation to join and share in fellowship, during these sessions there will be conversations, memories, and connection.
The Zoom platform offers a way to connect via computer, tablet, or telephone. Those who are unfamiliar with Zoom, instruction can be arranged to assist in navigating the process of logging in and connecting to these sessions at bereavement@holyfamily.org, please include a phone number and we will walk through the process together.
If it is a Quilting project, perhaps Crochet or Knitting, Needle Point or Counted Cross Stitch, Embroidery, a project that brought a sense of purpose, a handmade gift for a new member of the family, a special occasion, a Wedding or an Anniversary, a gift especially made by you for those you love. Bring your Coloring Pages, Jigsaw Puzzle, Puff Paints, Jewelry Making, Crossword Puzzles, Painting, Scrapbooking, Sketching or Sculpting.
This time is to share and join in fellowship with others that journey the path of sorrow, able to express their grief through a creative process.
