Summary
Today’s readings reflect the promises of God’s
Kingdom, and His incredible love for us all! In the
first reading from the Second Book of Samuel, King
David wonders if he should build a grand ‘house’ for
the ark of God in gratitude for all that the Lord had
done for him. David receives God’s response
through the prophet Nathan (paraphrasing, of
course), “I have always been with you… I will estab-
lish a house for YOU… I will raise up an heir after
you… I will be a father to Him and He a son to me.
HE will build a house for my name, and the kingdom
will endure forever!”
