There is a prayer that is said at the end of the Rosary which encompasses the
readings of today, and which speaks to what our lives sometimes, sadly, are, and
what they can actually be. While this is not a prayer that is originally created by
me and my family, I have always found that it touches my soul very emotionally.
It is a cry for help to the woman who created our complete hope for the world,
and from whom we can garner our strength.
Prayer
HAIL HOLY QUEEN, mother of mercy; our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To
thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed
fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O
holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the
promises of Christ. Amen.
