die and whoever serves me must follow me.
R
EFLECTION
In this Gospel, Jesus, tells us what we must do to follow Him as well
as be a servant ˈWhoever
serves me must follow me,
and I where I am, there also
will my servant be. The Father
will honor whoever serves
me.ˉ
There are many people that
are honored by the Church.
Some are called Saints and
some are called Blessed.
They all have something in
common, being a servant of
the Lord.
Today, as the feast of St. Lawrence is remembered, the people of
God are reminded that, being of service to the Lord may come with a
price. Would any of us be willing to care for the sick, poor or the
abandoned and risk their own lives in the process?
