UMMARY
ˈNo one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down
from heaven, the Son of Man.And just as Moses lifted up the serpent
in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone
who believes in him may have eternal life."

EFLECTION
I am having one of ˈthose daysˉ today. You know the kind that you
never forget; actually, the kind that you would LIKE to forget. There is
a pit in my stomach. I have let people down whom I dearly love. I am
wrought with worry at how to win back their confidence and trust. I
have had these days before, when things just didn˅t go the way you
had hoped they would. We all have. But, during this time of Lenten
reflection, if I stop to think of Jesus and the kind of day He had on
That Day, I am comforted. How? Because I know that after one of
these days, there is always peace.
During the time of Lent, I am often drawn into a heavy silence, think-
ing of what it must have been like to be Jesus on That Day. I know
we often speak of ˈThose Daysˉ ˀ ˈit˅s been one of those days!ˉ or
ˈShe˅s just having one of those daysˉ. We all have them. But are
ˈthose daysˉ like the one that Jesus experienced? Obviously, few of
us have been nailed to a cross, although we probably feel like it
sometimes. But perhaps there is an obvious message that we can
take from That Day in Jesus˅ life. What
was
the outcome of That Day?
