Jesus Christ the righteous oneˎ
The way we may be sure that we know him is to keep his command-
mentsˎ
whoever keeps his word, the love of God is truly perfected in him.ˉ
Imagine John lovingly placing his hands on your face. What do you feel?
Every second, of everyday, is an opportunity to begin a ˈnew chapterˉ.
Where are you in your book of life?
After Christ˅s death, Luke describes a resurrection appearance by Christ. He ap-
pears to a group of disciples. At this point, he has appeared twice, to Mary and
travelers going to Emmaus. However, Christ is unconvinced that his disciples
ˈtruly understandˉ the meaning of his resurrection, and have started a ˈnew
chapterˉ in their lives. Again, imagine that you are standing in the midst with the
disciples, and ˈseeingˉ the ghost of the resurrected Jesus. He looks into your
eyes and speaks:
ˈPeace be with youˎWhy are you troubled? And why do questions arise in
your hearts?ˉ
Jesus is with you. What do you feel? Are you troubled? What questions arise in
your book of life?
Every second, of everyday, is an opportunity to begin a ˈnew chapterˉ.
What will be written in the book of your Christian Life?

RAYER
Great Author of Life, may your Holy Spirit guide my hand;
as I write of a life that glorifies you and your son Jesus Christ.
As soon as I lie my pen of life, I fall peacefully
asleep,
for you alone, O Lord, bring peace to my soul.
