We need to look into our own hearts and lives. We need to ask ourselves: Where
are the areas of sin on our lives? Where are we persecuting Jesus? Where do we
need to change our lives? Through prayer we need to ask the Holy Spirit to work
within our hearts and show us where we need to change and then, like Saint Paul,
do it ˀ change!
Returning to the Gospel, we hear Jesus say that He is the bread of life and that
he will make it possible, even necessary, that we eat His Body and drink His
blood. By so doing, we are going to become more like Him. We will need to
meditate deeply upon what it is and Who it is we have received, and we will strive
to conform our lives to Christ.

RAYER
Lord, help me to believe and follow you with all my mind, heart, will and courage.
Help me to identify the areas of sin in my life and to realize where I am persecut-
ing Jesus. Help me to conform my life to the One I receive in Holy Communion
and with Him to share eternal life. Amen. That I
