Reflection
When I was a pre-teen, it was briefly en vogue to scribble tiny mock
tattoos on our hands with a ball point pen, à la henna. When my
grandfather discovered this little ink trend, he gasped in horror and
scolded me to immediately wash it off - ˈYou are the temple of the
Holy Spirit, young lady!!ˉ Huh? Well, as it turns out, those were wise
words.
We, each of us, is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Indeed, the Lord is
not limited to the four walls of the church. Nor to scrolls, nor arks,
nor tablets, nor dark clouds. Rather, the Lord is here, with us, among
us,
within
each and every one of us. Living, breathing through
us! WE are the resting place of the Lord.
How do we create a comfort-
able space for the Holy
Spirit? Plumping up the pillows
and freshening up the lin-
ens? Nah! By living in
faith! The Lord resides in our
acts of faith- speaking up for
what is right, reserving judg-
ment, offering kindness, work-
