we must make some time in our day to listen to our Lord asking us to do his will. Each of
us in our own way needs to understand that we should spend some time during our day
listening for God’s word. This can be early in the day when we are getting ready for or
on our way to work. Whenever it is, try to allow a few moments to be available to God
and to approach Him with the faith that He will not ask you to do anything that you can-
not achieve.
Then what are we doing to fulfill His purpose? Here we need to actually find some things
that we can do in the fulfillment of God’s purpose here on earth. This will actually involve
you doing something beyond what you are presently doing; this may be as small as try-
ing to be a lot more friendlier, especially with those you are in constant contact with:
family, neighbors, store clerks, you get the idea.
With the many ministries at Holy Family Parish there should not be
a problem finding something that you can do to participate in be-
ing part of God’s work. Participating in one of these ministries will
bring you into contact with others in doing God’s work. If you do
this, you will find that your life will actually be enriched.
Listen for God’s word and act to do His will.
Prayer
Dear Lord, help me to hear Your word.
Give me the quiet time to listen to Your call.
Give me the courage to act on these words,
As I come to do Your work,
