weeks, a phone call came and an acceptance was announced. Somehow
all the tears shed the week before were gone, a new adventure and new
possibilities emerged.
Years later I look back on those events. I was NOT in charge or I would
have given my child want she wanted. Yet now I know that God was in
charge. I prayed many times that she would do well, and that all her
dreams might come true. God heard that prayer. But, of course, I thought
my ideas were God˅s ideas. Not so
much! God gave her opportunities I never
imagined and placed her where all her
dreams might come true. She grew and
was affirmed by following God˅s path and
not the one she thought she wanted.
God answers prayers even before we utter
them. He answers the door to all who
knock. May I knock and wait for God˅s
answer and not impose mine on him.

All Knowing God,
Who loves and cares for each of us
Help us to be open to your will
Even when it is difficult and challenging,
Help us to always answer your call.
We ask this in your holy name
