The rewards of giving ourselves over to the Word of God are incalculable. In my
own experience, praying with scripture on a daily basis means that I am filled with
God˅s presence as I begin my dayˁI am more God-centered, calmer, and more
able (and more willing!) to face whatever difficulties the day may bring with pa-
tience and love. Most importantly, I am much more willing to being open to how
the Holy Spirit may be calling me to re-
spond to whatever situations I encoun-
ter throughout the day.
So, thank you to all of you who have
authored reflections in our prayer book
over this last year and a half. Your in-
sights have helped me engage with
scripture in ways I otherwise would not
have done. This online community of
faith has helped me grow in faith and
in my relationship with Jesus Christ, as
I am sure it has done for countless
others. I am indebted to you all.

RAYER
O God,
you gave us your sacred Word
so that we might grow to know you ever more deeply.
Help me to open the ears of my heart and to really engage with your Word.
Let me never be too busy to spend time with you in sacred silence.
May your Word make me ˈcompetent, equipped for every good workˉ
so I that can more faithfully conform myself to your Son,
following in his footsteps with unbounded love.
