suggested that it is the ˈgapˉ in us that we are trying to fill. This ˈgapˉ is the hol-
low space in our lives that we seek to fill with things like, shopping, or work, or
any number of things from our world which can even take on the form of an ad-
diction. But what he suggests this hollow space in us is our need to seek God,
and it is God seeking us.
Yes, Fr. Michael invites us to entertain the idea that God is seeking us. This is an
easy conclusion to draw from these readings. God gives us a simple path to fol-
low. He defines the way to Him in simple steps and asks us to join Him. He pro-
vides the eternal reward of heaven for those of us who choose to follow His ex-
ample. And most of all He forgives us our sins when we bring them to Him. What
more do we need to say yes to God.
Prayer
Dear Lord,
Help me to recognize my need for you.
Allow me to be aware of Your reaching out to me.
Help me find You in the beauty of each dayˎ
ˎin the beauty of the people I encounter
And give me the calm to allow You to be a part of my life.
