wronged. Forgiveness is a gift we give
ourselves. It˅s what God want of us; it˅s
what He expects of us.
At the end of the reading Jesus compli-
cates this even more by telling us that for-
giveness must come from the heart. In
reality, I think we overthink forgiveness.
Jesus just forgives. He wants us to seek
the best in people, be quick to forgive and
experience the gift of forgiveness.
During this Lenten Season, consider the challenge of becoming a more forgiving
person. Make the decision to walk with Jesus on this one.
Prayer
Dear God, help me lighten my heart by not only accepting forgiveness,
but by being a person of forgiveness.
Let me deepen my love for others by appreciating their goodness,
not condemning their shortcomings.
I pray my spoken words of apology come straight from my heart,
as many times as needed, without keeping count.
I ask this in Your name. Amen
