Perhaps the disciples
thought they could
change the situation so
that Jesus would not
have to suffer and go
through all of the agony
He was destined to ex-
perience for us sinners.
We are challenged to
open our hearts and
really hear what God
has in store for us every
day. In our busy lives sometimes it is difficult to ˈlet go and let Godˉ direct
us. Daily prayer is our direct link to ask for God˅s ongoing love and help so
that we may change ourselves for the better. One favorite prayer of many is
the Serenity Prayer, which seems to fit well as a final prayer for this gospel.
Prayer
God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot changeˎCourage
to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.
