many times a year. They also do not look at the word for the first time
when they go to the ambo; rather they read it many times prior to their
proclamation, searching out the meaning in their hearts, minds and spirit.
So, each gift that we have must be given and shared as much as possi-
ble. By using our gifts they become stronger and allow us to give even
more.
Some gifts, like those of music, require rehearsal, to in order to tune the
quality of both voice and instrument. Gifts of the Spirit make our lives and
those that we encounter richer which is God’s true gift to us all.
The ability to play an instrument, not only requires rehearsal, but the con-
tinued use of the instrument involved. It is possible, that after many years
of neglect of use, both the instrument as well as the individual who played
it
,
may have lost the gift of music
;
in essence taking the God given gift for
granted.
Prayer
Loving Father, help us to recognize each of our gifts and use each pre-
cious one of them to their fullest potential. Please lead us in the direction
which will let us do thy will, giving each gift presented to enrich our world
and
praising your name by venture of the blessed gifts you give to each of
us. We also pray that we are able to encourage others to recognize their
gifts and use them to help bring forth the kingdom of God on Earth.
