The author, Madeleine L˅Engle said, in one of her books on spirituality, ˈIf I have
faith, it is because I have met faith. I have seen it in action.ˉ I think for many of us
who have been educated by, or inspired by, women religious can say that we have
ˈmetˉ faith. To reflect on the gifts they have given to us, and continue to give to us,
can˅t help but lead us to a deeper relationship with the God they serve.

That we, like you, may abandon ourselves to the will of Godˎ
Pray for us, Saint Mother Theodore
That we may learn to love as you lovedˎ
That we may truly be children of Providenceˎ
That we may devote ourselves generously to the care of othersˎ
That we may love, forgive, and encourage one another from the bottom of our
heartsˎ
That we may be gentle with ourselves, acknowledging and correcting our faults but
never exaggerating themˎ
That we may walk in the presence of God, accepting our crosses as you accepted
yoursˎ
That we may strive to develop in our lives that immense charity that sincerely loves
persons whose inclinations are most opposed to oursˎ
Saint Mother Theodore, may we be blessed with your hope in God˅s Providence. May
we, like you, understand that we share in the work of Providence that has so gener-
ously protected us in te past,
continues to provide for us in the
present, and will always be with
us in every event to come.
