Food Drives were held throughout our city. Boy Scouts troop 333 delivered door hangers two weeks ago and returned to the South Pasadena residents homes to retrieve the food and monetary donations Saturday. For some families we will help you apply for food stamps online. The younger scouts were stationed at Vons and Pavilions to remind shoppers of our needs. Not only perishable items but more turkeys! Other Food drives to benefit the Giving Bank were held by Holy Family School, the San Marino/ South Pasadena YMCA , Dilbeck Real Estate, and Coffey Family Chiropractic.
The Sprouts Market in Alhambra generously donated thousands of pounds of food and hygiene products that their customers bought through their Grab N Give program and Carrows donated many pies through their Pies for a Purpose campaign.
Holy Family staff & Middle School Ministry helped bag the groceries. There were volunteers representing Outreach Commission, St Vincent de Paul, 50+, Parents Guild, and a number of Girl Scouts Troops.
A heartfelt thanks to the very many donors and volunteers that made the Holy Family Giving Bank Thanksgiving Distribution a huge success!
