God wants of us is that we try, to repent, to
make a serious attempt to turn towards Him.
But God does not expect us to do it all on our
own. As we know from elsewhere in the Bible,
it is the Spirit working through us that permits
transformation, not just our own efforts.

RAYER
Help us to never despair of your love in spite of our faults, to turn
towards you.
Break the chains that bind us so that we may enter into your
light.
