feels a little like forcing a square peg into a round hole. My life always goes a lot
smoother when I surrender myself to God's will. Mountains move, doors fly open,
opportunities present themselves, prosperity is like a river! Following His will is
truly having the "Light of Life."
Prayer
Heavenly Father: Whether danc-
ing or grieving, please help me to
hear Your Word and surrender to
Your will.

Fear not, fellow contrarians- Jesus has a bit of a soft spot for the child in each of us. Indeed,
Jesus routinely used the image of children to illustrate the concept of
ideal
faith. Recall, Jesus
admonished his disciples, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for
the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Mt. 19:14) He preached, "Truly I say to you,
whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all." (Mk. 10:15) I've
got to believe that Jesus understood that sometimes being "like a child" is to be a tantrum-
throwing toddler.
