like a desert, lifeless, going through the motions?ˉ This is a time to ask the Lord
to come into this place of need in our lives. Advent will come alive for us, as we
identify that which we desire to change. Into this space, the Lord will grasp our
right hand, coming into our place of need with good news, healing, and a peace
the world can˅t give.
I offer this prayer.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, guide me this Advent season with the desire to identify any area
of my life that makes me feel lifeless, meaningless, or untrue to my beliefs. Help
me to examine every stress-filled area of my life including personal relationships,
employment issues, financial stress, career, workplace, health, aging. Help me
to be open to hearing and feeling your love for me and to realize your desire to
share my joys and sorrows. Let me have the courage to ask you for your help
and to be open to seeing and hearing your answers, as they present themselves
in many ways and faces, and ultimately, to enjoy the richness of our unique rela-
tionship. This I pray in Jesus˅ name, Amen
