it meant moving, then we moved. If it meant a career change, then I changed my
career. We did not want to build our lives on sand. Our Church is our rock. Holy
Family is our rock.
All of us have the potential and ability to be ˈdoersˉ. To do more than what we
are doing now. It does not have to be monetary. It can just be your time. A quick
visit to the Holy Family website or perusal of the Sunday bulletin, and you will find
a number of opportunities to serve and give to Holy Family. James reminds us,
ˈBut the one who peers into the perfect law of freedom and per-
severes, and is not a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts;
such a one shall be blessed in what he does.ˉ
Answer the call of the Psalmist with confidence and a strong attentive
heart, ˈWho shall live on your holy mountain, O Lord?ˉ
What a blessing to those we help and for ourselves!
Prayer
Father of Mercy,
forgive my failings,
keep me in Your Grace,
and lead me in the way of salvation.
Give me strength in serving You
as a follower of Christ.
May the Eucharist bring me Your Forgiveness
and give me freedom to serve You all my life.
May it help me to remain faithful
and give me the grace I need in Your service.
May it teach me the way to eternal life.
