Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God
as we understood God
This is easy enough to believe but to do is another story. It is easy to give the
lepers out there over to God, and hope that God helps them with their problems.
But when I am called to give my children, my family, my friends over to God --
not so easy for me. And yet, it is only God who seems to be able to cure the
leprosy of today.
When we stand before the infinite purity and power of God, and we see our na-
kedness filled with
sin, many times we
want to retreat. “How
could God want to
save a wretch like
me?” But we are
reminded time and
time again, that our
topsy-turvy God so
loves us that he wants
to jump into his loving
arms with all his
goodness.
Prayer
Topsy-turvy God,
Help me to trust in your love.
Help me to heal my leprosy
Help me to love the leper.
I ask this in your holy, name.
