journey, growing in faith inevitably causes us to die to our old selves, do away
with the old, and prepare a new path. This rebirth has prepared us to realize that
we now not only celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of the Lord, but also
the crucifixion and resurrection of ourselves.
I am struck though, that even with the conclusion of Lent, this journey is not yet
over. As with the Lord, our dying and rising with him is not a conclusion but
rather a climax in the story of our lives. We are now ready to live with him. As told
in Mark let us ˈnot be amazed!ˉ but rather embrace the Lord˅s resurrection with
our own.
Prayer
Alleluia! Lord we rejoice in your resurrection and are prepared to live with you.
Give us the faith of Moses and help us to carry the lessons from this Lenten pe-
riod into all aspects of our lives.
