My parents have always said to
me, “We don’t care how much
money you make, or what kind
of job you have. We just want you to be a good person, and to be happy.”
I think that’s a challenge, too, but what an awesome challenge! And it
strikes me as much the same as the challenge God gives to us.

RAYER
Lord, in the face of life’s challenges, remind me to be grateful for my abil-
ity to meet them, and to ask you for help in these daily prayers. Remind
me too, that a challenge need not be hard or stressful, but simply a re-
quest to stop and look around, and to try, somehow, to give back to the
world what it gives to me, so that my spirit may be strong and filled with
gratitude.
