Is there acceptance, even sur-
render? Or are we, like the an-
cient priests, unable to see past
the rules to the wonders presented to us daily? One hopes, one believes,
that we are wiser, better, clearer than them, but we cannot say for sure
that is true. We, too, may not recognize that face or feel the grace, which
is right in front of us.

RAYER
Heavenly Lord, please remind me of your presence on the seashore, wait-
ing for me to return from another flight into the night of doubt, fear and
avoidance. Gently push me into the deep blue of your love, head first.
Help me to always see your face and to embrace the gift of your accep-
tance. Amen.
