

how many times the Bible says “Fear not.” I attempted to research it
online, but there were conflicting opinions (thanks for nothing,
google!). Some say there are 365 refer-
ences to “fear not,” and the like, but I
couldn’t verify it. However, we can all
agree there is no shortage of the senti-
ment “fear not,” “have courage,”“trust
in the Lord,” “do not be afraid,” and
other references to fear. Fear can para-
lyze us, cloud our judgment, and leave
us feeling lowly, humiliated, not unlike
a
worm or maggot. But the Lord grasps
our hand, and leads us. How comfort-
ing is that?
Prayer
Lord, I fear nothing with you. Take my
hand, lead me, guide me, redeem me.
