Jesus models that we must give flesh to our hopes for a better world for all peo-
ple, that we must be willing to embody the work in our physical selves through
our actions. Peace is not the destination; peace is the way. Peace is not a static
reality but is embodied in our actions and attitudes towards all, particularly the
least among us.As we walk into the mystery and joy of Christmas, let us engage
in acts of discipleship and reconciliation. Let us enter into the way of peace.
Prayer
Generous G-d, you have done great things for your people throughout the ages.
Today as we look with holy longing towards the coming of your son, Jesus, en-
courage us to join hands with you and walk the way of peace.
