When Solomon had answered all the queen˅s questions, she became aware of all
the blessings God had bestowed upon Solomon and his house.
In reading and considering this passage, my thoughts go to all the many gifts and
blessings that God has given us. But I˅ll take this to a more personal level and
say how thankful I am for the gifts God has given me that could never be bought:
the gift of family, both near and far, by blood and by choice. The gift of church,
a community of believers and residence in a country that allows me that choice.
The gift of the love of an amazing husband, who is also my best friend.
God hides nothing from us; He freely offers the gifts of His love, His ac-
ceptance and His salvation as well. His blessings are there for the tak-
ing ˀ the price already paid.
Wat a fantastic gift!
Prayer
Father God, open my eyes to the blessings in my everyday life. Let me
not hide away from the gifts You offer so freely. In his Name, I make this
prayer. Amen.
