As we go through each day, it is sometimes difficult to recognize Je-
sus in the person who just cut you off on the freeway or took the
parking place that you had been waiting for.
As we live our lives day to day, we need to first recognize Jesus in
those we meet. Once we have done that, our responses will be very
different. We see the blessings that God has given so freely to
us; we see the smiles of our children, the calming voice of our
parents, the gentle touch of those we love. In each of those
things we must see the blessings of the Holy Spirit and pass
those blessings onto all we encounter.
Prayer
Lord, we pray that your Holy Spirit will allow us to recognize
you in everyone we meet. We pray that we will not only recog-
nize you in the community that we pray with, but in those we
see each week who are outside of our community of Holy
Family and see your loving Spirit in all. We ask this in your
Name, Amen.
