Our fears seem small by comparison, but our fears
are our own, and are often as real and scary to us as
a giant. We put our fears in God, but sometimes
there is a nagging voice, “What if it doesn’t work
out? What if God doesn’t help me?” That is not let-
ting go of the fear. Rather, it is keeping a little piece,
and we’re no better off. David casts off all of his
fear, and gives his fear, and his whole self over to
God and the cause of God’s people. David does the
impossible.
T
his illustrates that nothing is impossible
when we put ourselves and our fear in God’s hands.
Prayer
Lord, give me courage. Let Your love be a constant reminder
that I have nothing to fear when I am armed with my faith.
