strive each day to be a loving example of a married couple.
Secondly, we have been entrusted to raise children in a loving, Catholic home. I
guess we are not the ones to ask how well we did. You will have to ask our chil-
dren: Alyson and Jordan! Again, being an apostle is not an easy task, but
through many tears and prayers we did our best to build a Christ-filled home for
our children and their friends.
Finally, we were called to be school teachers and are blessed enough to get paid
to use our God-given artistic talents. We are able to use the Holy Spirit’s gift of
wonder and awe and combine it in our teaching. At work and in our church com-
munity, we try to take our call to carry God’s message and to continue the job of
the original 12 by being present to each other, our children and our students. We
are excited to see what God has in store for us in the next 25
years!
Being loving apostles at home first has helped us carry God’
s message out in to the community as members of the Cur-
sillo movement, youth ministry, and prayer groups in our
home.
Prayer
We praise you Lord for giving us
the awesome task of continuing
the work of the 12 apostles. We
pray with the grace of the Holy
Spirit that all of us will take this
task you have entrusted to us seri-
ously, to be present to each other
and to preach with love and pas-
sion. We pray for the strength and
perseverance to carry your message when it is not easy and
when we are faced with our enemies. Amen.
