thing. Our actions speak volumes more than our words. We must see Jesus in
everyone we meet because He gave us those lasting words, “What you do to the
least of my brethren, you do to me”. This takes God’s grace to do well. We
sometimes walk by, or pretend we don’t see someone in pain or need. Some-
times we pat ourselves on the back for our contributions to the poor, but we don’
t really want to confront the poverty in the flesh, or we don’t want to deal with
someone’s anxiety about things.
As a child I learned it was my responsibility to know, love and serve the Lord. As
an adult, it is my responsibility to keep learning, love, and to keep serving in the
best manner I can. I must begin my day in prayer, end my day in prayer, and
think about, “What would Jesus do?”, as I make decisions in my days. The Holy
Spirit will help me see the answers if I will only listen to the Word and act accord-
ingly.
Prayer
Dear God, open my heart to those around me, and help me to see how I can love
them even more. I ask this through the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy
Spirit. May I know each and every day your will for me, and understand that your
grace and mercy are always there for me if I only ask.
