When we are
elated we may
become arro-
gant and gloat
and have very
little compas-
sion for others
and when we
are feeling
beaten we can
become very
intolerant of
those who
don’t share
our views.
Both of these
positions are not constructive to ourselves or for those around us.
So, what I hear this gospel asking is for each one of us to consider our indi-
vidual situation and reflect on maybe, What Would Jesus Do? We need to
consider that we are in a conflicting time of ideas and maybe even ideals and
we each have a part on influencing where we are headed. If we proceed as
Blessed Disciples, then… “wisdom is vindicated by her works.”
Prayer
Pour out your spirit upon me, Jesus
Anoint me with your spirit of wisdom and understanding
Give me insight to see
What is important and what is not important
And awareness of Your presence at all times
And in every situation
Amen
