life. Each year many people prepare for the mission and yet we always wonder where the
others are. Why do so few people attend? How do we get people to show up? I think
my job, like that of Simeon and Anna, is to tell all I meet about this remarkable oppor-
tunity--an opportunity to grow in wisdom and favor, to be an example to the children of
this community, to be present and open to the mystery.
Prayer
Lord, we give you the glory and praise due.
May heaven and earth rejoice for you rule your people with justice.
Open our minds to your word,
Open our hearts to your love
Open our hands to your people
