Are you now, or were you at one time an expectant mother in need? Do you know expectant mothers who are in need of help and support during a difficult pregnancy? Do you have ideas for how our parish might support women during this precious time? Holy Family Parish has joined the US Conference of Catholic Bishops in their initiative of Walking with Moms in Need. This year-long initiative will focus on identifying the needs and resources needed to help women facing difficult pregnancies, so that our parish may become, in the words of Pope Francis, “an island of mercy in a sea of indifference”.

O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities places of welcome and assistance for mothers in need. Help us become instruments of God’s love and compassion.Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love, together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life.
