Faith-sharing group facilitators create a welcoming space where participants can openly explore their spiritual journeys. They listen attentively, ask thoughtful questions, and guide discussions with sensitivity to diverse experiences. Their role is not to teach or debate but to foster a spirit of trust, reflection, and mutual encouragement. By balancing structure with flexibility, they help the group stay focused while allowing the Holy Spirit to lead. A skilled facilitator ensures that every voice is heard, fostering a deeper sense of community and growth in faith.  Thank you sharing your gifts as a facilitator.

Cherished Belonging is a reflective book that explores themes of identity, faith, and community through personal storytelling and spiritual insight. It delves into the deep human longing for belonging—both with others and with God—offering a heartfelt journey of discovery, healing, and connection.

We believe this is an excellent choice for a faith-sharing group because it encourages meaningful discussion about personal faith journeys, the importance of community, and the ways God invites us into deeper relationships. Its reflective nature allows one to share their own experiences of belonging, making it a powerful tool for fostering connection and spiritual growth. The book’s themes align well with our Parish Retreat, United in Faith.

We have worked to make this process both easy to access and simple to follow. Our hope is that each faith-sharing group will begin their first session by exploring the introduction to Cherished Belonging. From there, your group can decide on a reading schedule that works best for you—whether that’s covering one chapter per week, three chapters per week, taking a broader look at the book as a whole, or another approach that suits your group’s preferences.

To support your journey, we will provide lesson guidelines for each chapter. These resources are designed to serve as a helpful framework for your discussions, while still allowing flexibility for your group’s unique insights and reflections.

If you need any additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Dawn Ponnet. We are here to support you every step of the way!
