Landscape Project Update

Dear Parishioners, Friends and Colleagues,
As you know, we have re-landscaped the area around the Church to transform it into the Garden of the Angels, a memorial garden and an oasis of calm and tranquility within a beautiful native landscape environment. The new design captures the welcoming spirit of Holy Family, while introducing a variety of native and drought-tolerant plants, as well as a new irrigation system that will reduce our water usage and costs significantly. It will send an important message to the community regarding Holy Family’s commitment to responsibly care for God’s creation.
Now that the new Garden of the Angels has been planted, we are making adjustments as needed in order for the garden to thrive and for all who visit it, to remember it as a place of welcome and beauty. I am extremely grateful to the many parishioners and friends who assisted us in the planning and who helped fund this important project. With the recent success of the Auction, we are poised to continue our efforts to enhance our current parish surroundings with additional native and drought-tolerant plants that will, again, reduce our water usage and costs significantly so that those funds can go towards the needs of our parish and its ministries.
